I Battuti
Bianchi 1991 In the Carignano basilica built in the 1600s by the
Savoy family for a powerful religious sect, I Battuti Bianchi, a large
cane framework resembling a hot air balloon supports a sewn skin of white
second-hand clothing. This work approaches ideas of ascendance;
the human desire to reach the heavens through both scientific and spiritual
means.
