A single poem by James Laughlin published originally in The New Yorker in 1992. Intended as an eighty-third birthday present from the press to the author, it was not completed before the author’s death on November 12, 1997. The colophon page was reset to acknowledge his passing and the memorial service held in his memory at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. The type is Perpetua, printed on a sheet of Frenchfolded Kitakata, and bound into a paper case opposite a Giclée print of a landscape painting of the same title by Marjorie Phillips. Edition of 75.
