Woodshop

The Woodshop is the Department’s 2200 sq ft. general purpose wood fabrication facility available for use by Department of Art students who are currently enrolled in art classes. The shop is located in the basement floor of the Arts building in room 0246.

The shop serves as a resource for sculptural studies and support for painting and visual arts for canvas stretchers, panels, and framing.

Welcome to the UCSB Art Department Woodshop! I enjoy supporting students and faculty in making their projects a reality. I like to make things, especially things made of wood. My own practice represents a deep love for forests and the world. I value ethics, simplicity, sustainability, and community. Outside of the shop, I enjoy surfing, diving, cooking, and playing music. Come say hi, or reach out here to inquire about projects or to schedule time in the shop.
